Development Manager
Summary: This role leads mid-level donor engagement, supports donor acquisition and stewardship, manages key fundraising events, and oversees smaller scale grants. As a visible ambassador for 360 Communities, this position represents the organization through public relations, community events, and fundraising communications to strengthen support and expand reach. FT Exempt Position. Bachelor's degree along with 5+ years of fundraising event planning experience required. Additional years of experience will be considered in lieu of education. Proven experience in successful fundraising and managing donor relationships. Essential Duties and Responsibilities 1) Demonstrate commitment to the agency’s mission statement and core values at all times. 2) Focus on mid-level donors and Giving Circle Members. Engage in moves management strategies to maximize donor relationships. 3) Prospect, cultivate, and acquire new donors. 4) Cultivate and steward relationships with current individual donors, foundations, faith communities, civic organizations, and corporate partners. 5) Maintain accurate donor data and track engagement. Review and update fundraising strategies. 6) Plan and execute all aspects of annual fundraising events, including sponsorships, in-kind donations, logistics, and committee coordination. 7) Work with the Development Team to achieve monthly, quarterly, and yearly fundraising goals. 8) Partner with the Development Director on reporting and strategy updates. 9)Execute annual fundraising plans aligned with strategic organizational goals. 10) Additional duties as assigned by the Director of Development. Grant Management 11) Prospect, write, submit, and report on grants under $5,000. 12) Maintain accurate tracking and compliance for all small grant activities. Community Relations & Communications 13) Coordinate organizational presence at community events, ensuring strategic attendance and representation. 14) Represent the organization at events, donor meetings, and networking opportunities. 15) Support the development and distribution of fundraising-related communications and marketing materials. 16) Communicate the mission and impact to donors, community partners, and the general public. 17) Serve as primary liaison for community-led fundraising efforts, such as third-party events, round-ups, and point-of-sale campaigns. 18) Build and maintain strong community partnerships to broaden reach and deepen support. 19) Ensure events effectively raise funds, deepen donor engagement, and elevate organizational visibility. Qualifications Education and/or Experience Bachelor's degree. Additional years of experience will be considered in lieu of education. 5+ years of fundraising event planning experience required. Proven experience in successful fundraising and managing donor relationships. An excellent communicator, with both oral and written communication skills, including public speaking skills and the ability to build trusting relationships with donors and volunteers. Must have excellent organizational and administrative skills. Computer skills, including knowledge of Microsoft Office, Word, Excel and databases. Must be self-directed with the ability to work independently.
