This class will introduce you to the tools, features and possibilities available in Windows XP. Discover how to use the extensive help features, find lost files and folders, and organize your desktop and file environment. You will also learn how to create folders and use some great shortcuts. You will gain a sound understanding of Windows, plus the strong skills necessary to move ahead to Word, Excel, PowerPoint and web site design classes. Included are suggestions and tips on maintaining the smooth operation of Windows by using firewalls and antivirus and spyware programs. Prerequisite: Introduction to Computers, Gentle Approach I or previous computer experience and comfort with using your mouse. Course materials are included in your tuition.
