2014 Induction Celebration of 12 Outstanding Women into the Minnesota Women Busi

Join us as we induct 12 women entrepreneurial leaders into the Minnesota Women Business Owners Hall of Fame. These amazing trailblazers represent nearly 140 years of Minnesota business history. They have overcome challenges and obstacles many thought impossible. Their business savvy and entrepreneurial successes have left a legacy that will impact Minnesota for years to come. Inductees were selected because they: Made enduring contributions to Minnesota?s entrepreneurial community Made an impact on women's entrepreneurial development in Minnesota Had a meaningful connection to Minnesota (place of birth, education, and/or business location) Demonstrated leadership qualities or a spirit of entrepreneurial innovation that can serve as an inspiration to future generations of Minnesota entrepreneurs Some of these women blazed new trails in non-traditional industries such as manufacturing and banking. Others achieved the pinnacle of recognition for their successes in the professional services sector. They all faced and overcame numerous obstacles on their way to achieving business success. Many of them sold their businesses and have been significant community leaders in the Twin Cities through their philanthropy and by serving on major boards of directors. Some built million-dollar businesses in hard economies. All passed along their wisdom to their daughters and mentees to make a difference for generations to come. The celebration will include an intimate reception with heavy hors d? oeuvres, as well as an induction ceremony celebrating their accomplishments and impact. This is a must attend event.
