Topic: How prepared are you and your employees for an Active Shooter, Fire or Opiods? Learn about safe workplace practices and how to prepare for an unexpected incident at your business.
Speaker: Sergeant Powers, Burnsville PD
David Powers is a Sergeant with the Burnsville Police Department. David has been in law enforcement for 22 years and is a retired volunteer firefighter that served for 20 years in the community in which he lives. His current assignment is the City of Burnsville’s Emergency Management Coordinator. During his law enforcement career, David has served in patrol, crisis negotiations, field training officer, crime scene team, mobile command post, driving instructor and the crisis intervention team member. He enjoys spending time with his family and traveling outside of work.
